Machinima Part II

The few past weeks have been really slow and school has been slow as well. Thank Goodness. Although it's kind of bad because when I have nothing better to do I always end up getting "inspired" and I get new ideas for movies. I have a few projects I have been working on and of course out of all of them I have one project that is my pet project that I want to spend most of my time with. The project that will begin production first is a Halo 2 machinima drama that is titled "This is Home" after the song by the artist We are Ghosts. In this movie two characters are stranded in a desolate training camp and using "survival for the fittest" concept they will try to destroy each other instead of help each other. It's going to be a dark drama and it will have many action scenes because the song is a fast pace rock song.

The second project that will begin production after "This is Home" is a machinima created with The Sims 2. This is my pet project. This movie will take many months to complete. It almost reminds me of Astral a music video I created a while back because of all the green screens, layering, and the insane editing that has to be done. I recently did a test shot and it looks amazing. Although the test shot is 20 seconds and the editing time was three hours. I want this film to be perfect and to be as similar to its music video predecessor by 3D Mickey. I really loved the music video and I hope to re-create it as flawlessly as possible with HD availability. This project is titled "Respire". It's a French piece with subtitles.

The next large but fun project that was started but never completed is the series Life With Duncan. I had technical problems but now that those are over I want to finish the two projects then jump back into this series with fresh ideas. I won't be starting over and the series will continue with Episode 5 and go to Episode 10. I'll re-release this series with a trailer introducing the series again. I think I have the funnest time producing this project than any other project I've ever done before. After awhile the episodes arn't funny to me but after a couple of weeks of release I watch it and laugh like I'm watching someone else's series. I also have to say this is my most well organized series ever. I planned out the entire season from episode 1 to episode 10 with many surprises and crazy twists. It's a very unique series indeed.

And lastly I want to re-create the project that was almost done but was deleted from my computer and is now gone. I want to create this project at a later date so it will be ready for a December 2007 release. It's titled "Return to Narnia". technically and story wise it's clearly amazing. It has its own problems and challenges but it's a visually and plot wise unique piece. All of the music for this movie was completely composed just for the movie. It was written and composed by a man whose user name is Milkman_Dan. He's amazing when it comes to writing music. I'm sure he'll have a large future with that.

I never tell anything about the projects I work on even when they are planned all the way up to next December. I'm very excited about these projects and I know I'm going to have a good time working on all of them! They all have compelling story lines and challenges that are for some reason really fun to work through. I guess it's because in the end I'm able to sit back and watch what I've been working on for the past 110 days.

In the next blog I'm going to talk about recent releases that were made in my spare time. I'll give you an inside and detailed look at how I made them while filming and editing. It also gives me a chance to show off my work! I'll put up some pictures and links of them so you can watch them and tell me what you think of them!
